Rights Respecting School Award

Our Rights Respecting School Award Steering Group have been working hard to help pupils learn about their rights and raise awareness of the rights of others. You may have seen them recently at our PTA Christmas Craft Fair event, handing out leaflets and promoting our achievements to date.

They have also put together a website where you can keep up to date with their latest news and information regarding progress towards our Silver Award. Click here to find out more, or select ‘Rights Respecting School Award’ from the ‘Information’ drop-down in the main menu at any time.

The Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) is an initiative run by UNICEF UK, which encourages schools to place the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) at the heart of its ethos and curriculum. It aims to improve wellbeing and help all young people realise their potential. It is based on principles of equality, dignity, respect, non-discrimination and participation.
