School Closure

Further to the First Minister’s statement on Sunday 22 March, the school is now closed to ALL pupils and staff. S4-S6 pupils, therefore, SHOULD NOT come into school to complete coursework.

The Chief Examiner, SQA, has indicated that further guidance on the completion of coursework and certification will be provided as soon as possible.

Arrangements already intimated with regard to the provision of free school meals remain in place.

Staff will be looking closely at how much of the remaining SQA coursework and assessments can be completed online, and will intimate this via Google Classroom (in line with any advice which will be forthcoming from the SQA).

Welcome

It is a great pleasure to give you a warm welcome to Cults Academy’s website. We have the privilege of serving the communities of Lower Deeside, along with our associated primary schools Culter, Cults, Milltimber and Lairhillock.

We look forward collectively to building the reputation of Cults Academy as an outstanding school, and, as part of that process, we will be renewing the shared vision for Cults Academy. In addition, we will be making further improvements to the school website – if you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to contact the school. We are also looking at establishing a presence on Facebook, and have several active Twitter accounts. For example, you can follow us on @cultsacademy and @cultsacademyht as well as several departmental pages.

With best wishes

David Barnett
