How do I apply for a place for my child at Cults Academy?

All school admissions are processed through the Aberdeen City Council website.

I am moving to the area. When can I apply?

You can apply for a place when you are permanently resident in the catchment area. This map shows the catchment area.

We are unable to offer spaces until you are residing permanently in zone. Year group placings are based on date of birth and this information will be made clear through the Aberdeen city council application process.

Can I visit the school before I apply?

We receive a large number of enquiries and we are unable to provide visits for potential applicants. If you are offered a place a meeting will be arranged which will include a tour of the school. Our website contains useful information about the school and has a virtual tour.

What information is required for the application process?

You will need to provide evidence of where you live, your child’s birth certificate and any other information specific to your case. Further checks will be carried out to check the residence on your application is permanent.

Which year group will my child go in to?

Year group placings are based on date of birth and this will be calculated during the Aberdeen City council admissions application process.

Will my child be offered a place?

Once your application has been processed you will be notified about the outcome of your application.
If a year group is full your child may be placed on a waiting list.
